Day In The Life of Tariq Hussain
In September 2023, Tariq Hussain was interviewed on the second-to-last page of the "Incommunities Update", a magazine which is released a few times per year.
Tariq Hussain made the following statements:
"I often turn the laptop on about 7.30 – 8am, catch up on emails from the previous day, as for the rest of the day I’m out and about on the estates speaking to customers."
"My day is spent carrying out scheme inspections, picking up on any communal repairs, H&S issues, dealing with fly-tipping and garden neglect. I also carry out Successions and Mutual Exchange visits and inspecting homes for hoarding."
"Like lots of roles, there is a lot of admin and paperwork, which is unavoidable, but it takes me away from being out and about in the community, which is the part of my role that I enjoy."
"Every day is different, there is never a boring day. I cover Kirklees, Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Batley, but also down to Rotherham and Sheffield – a huge area, but I have looked after this area for over 11 years. I love helping people where I can and when this comes to fruition it is an amazing feeling."
